ADI Awards 2024 Selection

The ADI-FAD Industrial Design Association organises the ADI Awards 2024, which brings together three awards in different areas of design: the Delta Awards for industrial design professionals and companies, awarded since 1961, the ADI Medals for product design students, awarded since 1976, and the ADI Culture Awards for projects that promote design culture, since 2016.

The new call, marked by a high level of participation, has required an experts committee from different fields. From industrial design, communication, teaching, and design theory, the experts have evaluated the products and projects submitted and defined the ADI Awards’ shortlisted entries in each category: a total of 170 projects selected, of the 349 initially presented. The verdict of the juries and the presentation of the awards will take place on June 13, 2024, in a ceremony that will be held at the Disseny Hub Barcelona, where the winners will be announced.

 

42st edition of the Delta Awards

Started in 1961, the main goal of the Delta Awards is to promote public recognition of innovative products that propose a conceptual renewal, provide environmental or social concern, while being an example of good design and manufacturing quality.

In the 2024 edition, the committee of experts formed by: Maria Baxauli, Jordi Ballesta, Daniel Caballero, Pilar Chiva, Jim Palau, Mireia Andrés, Ricardo Zuccarelli, Jordi Esteve, Valerie Bergeron, Tomás López, Ariadna Rousaud, Lucía Bruni, Raul García, Elsa Yranzo, Alejandra Diaz-Blasco, Julia Esqué and Agnès Blanch, has designated a total of 139 products to Delta Selección.

The selected products will compete for one Gold Delta and two Silver Deltas in each category and automatically receive the Bronze Delta distinction in the final jury phase. The vote of FAD members will also award an Opinion Delta.

The final Jury for the Delta 2022 Awards stands out for its independent and international character, formed by Raffaella Mangiarotti, Lucas Muñoz Muñoz, Phillipe-Albert Lefebvre and Marisa Santamaría. Lúcid will design the winners’ trophy.

29th edition of the ADI Medals

With the collaboration of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, ADI-FAD calls young designers to submit their final projects. The ADI Medals promotes the younger generation’s talent and builds bridges between academia and the industrial world.

In this edition, the jury formed by Xavier Torras, Bern Donadeu, Angela Montagud, Xueyu Ji and Pablo Sevilla has selected 15 projects that will compete for one gold, two silver and 12 bronze in the final phase. The trophy, a medal, will be designed by Ariadna Sala Nadal, 2022 Gold ex-aequo Medal winner.

5th edition of the ADI Culture Awards

ADI Culture aims to encourage public recognition of those projects that help promote and update social and conceptual product design or inspire dialogue, ideas, and initiatives in the discipline. 

An award that responds to the current reality, where product design is present far beyond objects. It is aimed at cultural projects, events, exhibitions, installations, publications, documentaries and other expressions that deepen the field of experimentation, research and innovation. 

The Jury of the ADI Culture 2022 Awards, formed by Reme Samper, Pilar Marcos, Anna Majó, Massimo Menichinelli and Xavier Franquesa, has selected 16 projects that will compete for a gold, a silver and 6 bronzes in the final phase of each category: Publications and Events. The winners’ trophy will be designed by Turbina Studio.
