Anthony Dunne and Fiona Raby, after having worked for major brands, founded a studio through which they propose a type of design to be used as a tool for creating not only things but also ideas. They consider design as a medium for reflecting on how things could be, to imagine possible futures. Dunne & Raby ask themselves “what if” to open up a debate and discussion on whether, if we speculate more on all things, the reality will be more workable. Their work has been displayed in the MoMA (permanent collection), the Centre Pompidou, London’s Design Museum and the Victoria & Albert (permanent collection), Frac Ile-de-France and the MAK. They have won several prizes in the course of their career, the latest in 2015, the first MIT Media Lab Award.
