20 Years of 22@: Dialogues on Creative Economy

The 22@ Network BCN association is taking the pulse of the creative economy in an event, «20 Years of 22@: Creativity. Dialogues on Creative Economy», a session for reflection in which some outstanding actors will take part, drawn from the national and international creative industries scene. The activity is organized by 22@ Network BCN in collaboration with the FAD, Fostering Arts and Design, Barcelona City Hall, the Generalitat de Catalunya government, the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and European Business Network.

The session will start with two presentations. The first one will be given by Bernd Fesel, representative of European Creativity Business Network, on cross-cutting strategies for innovation. The second one will be imparted by Juan Pastor Bustamante, Deputy Director of Innovació&acció and Professor of Creativity at the EOl Industrial Organization School, who will talk about the creative economy in the territories.

This will be followed by the round table on strategies for promoting an economy with a creative basis, moderated by Mónica Bonafonte, Managing Director of the FAD. Participating in the round table will be Adriana Moscoso del Prado, Director-General of Cultural Industries, Intellectual Property and Cooperation (Ministry of Culture and Sport); Jordi Garcia Brustenga, Director of Operations and Strategy at ENISA (Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism); Enric Bayó, leader of the innovation management team at ACCIÓ (Generalitat de Catalunya government); and Xavier Marcé, Councillor for Creative Industries and Tourism (Barcelona City Hall).

The event will end with a guided tour of «The Best Design of the Year» exhibition, which showcases the shortlisted and prize-winning projects entered for the awards presented by the FAD associations for graphic design, industrial design, architecture, interior design and artistic creation. The entire session can be followed remotely, but the guided tour will only be open to people who attend the event in person.
