As well as the 120 participating exhibitors and a gastronomy zone ideal for any time of the day, you will also enjoy complementary workshops so that children can discover design by experimenting with a variety of proposals.
PIM, PAM, POM!
Saturday 15 December at 10.30 am (duration 1h).
For boys and girls from 3 to 7 years old.
Boys and girls will paint their own personalized flower bouquet. Made from laser-cut paper flowers, all the creations can be decorated to each child’s taste for taking home with them.
The workshop is imparted by ADG-FAD associates P O M, workshop, a label that creates flower bouquets made from wood, designed somewhere wild by designers from Barcelona. They are inspired in nature for taking home with you.

Objectes que creen objectes
Saturday 15 December at 11.30 h (duration 2h).
For boys and girls from 6 to 12 years old.
We invite you to discover the permanent exhibition of the museum, From the World to the Museum. Product Design, Cultural Heritage, which will show us design’s ability to change the human environment and to contribute to social wellbeing. The workshop will introduce us to the creation of moulds for fabricating different objects with materials such as, for example, cement or chocolate.
The workshop is imparted by Barcelona Design Museum.

The Folded Place / Storytelling and Family Workshop
Saturday 15 December at 12.00 noon (duration 1.15h).
For boys and girls from 5 to 7 years old.
Can a place change places? It looks like it can! The authors of the new ¡Tris Tras! book of activities will explain the particular story about this place that never stops travelling. We will then build travelling houses, nomadic chimneys, squares, fountains and folding and unfolding lampposts. You will go home with your own paperboard place for you to play wherever you like.
The Pin Tam Pon workshop (Julia Abalde and Clara Sáez) imparts it together with ARQUIN-FAD associates Editorial Gustavo Gili, an independent publishing house specializing in design, architecture, art, photography and fashion. Among its most recent publications is the GGDIY collection, practical guides for handcrafting all kinds of objects.

Design and Build a Lamp
Saturday 15 December at 4.00 pm (duration 1h).
For boys and girls 6 to 12 years old.
Workshop in which we build a lamp inspired in the PLISSÉ model by the designer Inga Sempé. Activity associated with the book DESIGN. Manual for Domestic Furniture and Unusual Objects published by Coco Books.
The workshop is imparted by ADI-FAD associates Coco Books, a publishing project that seeks to stimulate creativity through plastic arts and offers some very personal kinds of readings. Much attention is paid to aesthetics and to the quality of the publications, since content and visual appearance are indivisible.

Terra líquida

For boys and girls 6 to 12 years old.
In the exhibition entitled Extraordinary! Collections of Decorative and Author-Centred Art (3rd – 20th centuries) we can view pieces made from ceramic, a material that is first a thick liquid that can be moulded. This workshop invites us to experiment with a taste for matter and manual techniques. Here participants can create their own unique and original piece from equal moulded pieces.

Qui no s’espanta, estampa!
Sunday 16 December at 11.30 am (duration 2h).
For boys and girls 6 to 12 years old.
Discover the fashion collection of the museum’s permanent exhibition Dressing the Body. Silhouettes and Fashion (1550-2015). We will visit the exhibition and observe calico fabrics and dress prints. In the workshop we can experiment with the hand-printing technique, al bac, to decorate a piece of clothing among all the participants. At the end of the workshop, each participant can take home their own personalized piece: a pirate bandanna or a piece of wadding cloth in the Japanese tradition.
