The Delta Awards jury is independent and international. It comprises experts in different fields related to product design, who assess the products in the exhibition of the ADI 2018 Awards according to the following criteria:

— The innovative nature of the proposal from a conceptual, formal, functional, productive, strategic, social and semantic standpoint.

— Communication capacity of the product and its cultural and aesthetic values.

— Integration between tech – nology and design.

— Usability of the product.

— Aspects of sustainability and environmental suitability.

Any members of the jury who have a connection with any of the products presented will abstain from the vote. During the deliberations, in the event of a tie, the President of the Jury holds the casting vote. The Jury shall deliver its justified decision (not subject to appeal) and will award the prizes in public at the ADI awards ceremony on 14 June 2018.


LUCA NICHETTO – President of the Jury

Born in Venice, he studied a degree in industrial design at the Università Iuav di Venezia. In 1999, Nichetto began his professional career with Murano-based glass maker Salviati, later becoming a product designer and consultant for lighting company Foscarini. In 2006, he founded his eponymous practice in Venice. In 2011 he moved to Stockholm, Sweden, to open a second studio and he continues to live in and work from this city. Over the course of his career, Nichetto has served as art director for many international design brands and he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the design industry.


Born in Poland, studied Interior Architecture in Ireland, Dublin and MA degree in Interior Architecture in Academy of Fine Arts, Gdansk, Poland. Since 2006 working for IKEA as Communication and Interior Design manager leading interior designers, visual merchandisers and graphic designers in different countries: Poland, Malaysia and Spain.


Born in Spain, Co-founder & Creative Director at CuldeSac. More than 15 years of experience, focused on the creation of valuable projects via strategic creativity, support his international career in the field of industrial and retail design.


Born in Spain, studied Interior Design at Elisava. She has been working in the field of architecture, design and interior design for more than 35 years. She combines her facet of interior design with teaching, gathering more than fifteen years of experience and giving lectures and master’s degrees.


Born in Spain, studied Industrial Design at Elisava. R+D & Design Manager at Jané Group, Joan has more than 30 years of experience working in the design world for large consumer products, especially in children’s products, concerned about the human nature of the product and especially in the safety of the automobile. In 1993, he won the Silver Delta of ADI-FAD with the Jane Design Team with the Audace fully-folding pushchair, considered “the most foldable pushchair in the world.”
