The Making Of… New IKEA YPPERLIG collection, with HAY studio

We invite you to discover on an exclusive basis the creation process of three of the pieces of the new IKEA collection, YPPERLIG, designed in collaboration with the Danish firm HAY.

YPPERLIG is a fortunate combination: IKEA’s deep knowledge of the production process for furniture and objects and the passion for designing of HAY studio. The result is a collection of contemporary and timeless basic products, affordable for everyone and with a high-value design.

“The Making Of…” is a series of conferences promoted by ADI-FAD with the aim to provide first-hand insight into the process of making a product from its initial conception through its commercialisation and experience in the marketplace. It brings together the designer and the company which produces the article. The designer and producer will be present at each session. Each conference revolves around three products. Each product has a presentation lasting between 20 and 30 minutes, where the speakers (company representative and designer) talk about subjects directly related with the product or project, especially the less visible aspects, the “making of” process. The purpose of this series of conferences is to encourage public recognition of
those products which stand out because of their innovative character, for their conceptual originality, the response they generate among the public and their adaptation to environmental criteria, as well as their design and manufacturing quality.

The attendance is free, but it is necessary to register HERE.
