Prize-giving ceremony of the City to City Barcelona FAD Award
The ceremony for the City to City Barcelona FAD Awards, held at the Salon de Cent of the Barcelona City Council, with representation of the town councils of Barcelona and the winning city, Rio de Janeiro. The ceremony will begin with a conference of the architect and engineer Carlo Ratti.
Carlo Ratti is since 2004 the director of the MIT SENSEable City Lab, a research group that studies the transformation of cities into "cities in real time" through the implementation of sensors, the development and popularisation of electronic devices. The TED speaker was chosen by Forbes Magazine as one of the personages of 2011.
